I doubt if it makes any difference but I was looking at the cancelled flights section, as I think this the applicable section.

As well as the excellent advice to book via the operating carrier, I’d also be very wary about booking ex-LGW, as the lower frequency means that any cancellation/schedule change is likely to be more dramatic. Much better to book ex-LHR, where the alternative flight is likely to be closer to the original one.
Quite why QR rebooked me onto a new flight with an 8.5 hr layover in DOH when there were two better-timed alternative flights ex-LHR is a mystery. Certainly not good customer service.
