By the way, when I tried to activate "receive cash" option in Alipay it asks for an ID check similar to Wechat, and then it wants a bank card from a chinese bank. (It didn't accept any of my local cards for this, and the bank listing only showed chinese banks anyway.)
Did you figure out if you can receive cash with WeChat? (If you can receive, you can also spend.)
