Sorry, you're quite right I was careless in referring to the OP's timeline rather than yours.

But i reckon the principle remains. `Where the scheduled connection is within the MCT, you'll be looked after if you don't make the flight because the available connection time breaches the MCT parameters. Such a failure could also give you a shot at the EUR600 compo, though best not let this colour your judgement - or slow your progress through the airport.

If you're forced into a six/seven hour connection at LIS, the faff around re-assigniong your flight at the start of the period, and getting to the gate for the new flight will leave you with four hours or so to kill. Maybe you'd need to press the issue, but you should get refreshment vouchers from TP.

OK, the vouchers might not get you much more than sandwich, but in any event there are plenty of F&B opportunities at LIS Schengen-side, and they'd present a much cheaper option than buying yourself into the lounge.


The only alternative would be to book the longer connection, which would earn you a measure of certainty .... but little else.
