2018 is kind of not really relevant. There was no buffet six months ago, when we last stayed there (which was on a weekend).
We really enjoyed the a la carte options - certainly much more than a generic buffet, which you can get at mid-tier Hyatts and Marriotts pretty much anywhere. The website currently shows the same menu (and no buffet):

The prices seem extremely reasonable for Scottsdale standards, particularly if the food is as good as people here are saying. Is it eligible for base pts when not staying at the hotel and 4x Hyatt CC spend? If so I will definitely check it out.
