I called Alaska airlines, was immediately put through to the partner desk, who queued a request to be put back in British F on a different flight
and within 24 hours, received an email from British customer service to the effect that I was now back in F on that flight.
AS tells me it will take a couple more days to reticket and send me a new confirmation email.
