I can understand the sentiment, specially for non-elite members, but I am guessing for most people here not much may change.
I mean, an elite member traveling in Business light gets 2 bags @ 32 KG and lounge access with 1 guest.
Of course if you travel heavy (and need the 3rd bag) or may make frequent changes to your ticket, that may be a different case of course.
I don't care about checked bags as I travel only with a carryon (no matter how long the journey will be) - the real issue is the rebooking fee of 300€ - you can only avoid that by not booking the light fare and paying 200€ extra - in earlier days I had no intention of changing booked tickets, but as of now - with family matters - it could be necessary to rebook tickets (I had to rebook a few ticktets already this year).
