I've been attempting to redeem points for travel to Europe for myself and my two boys. Their ages put them in the youth (12-15) and child (2-11) age groups. I am able to search for flights just fine, but when I proceed to the final fare review page after flight selections and I'm told "There are not enough aeroplan points in your account to apply to this booking." Scrolling down that page it is showing crazy high tallies of aeroplan points required, such as 6.5M points. Reality is the point totals when selecting flights are all well within my points balance. I've tried this is various fare categories and with or without adding a priority business voucher. Only way I achieve a successful outcome is when I select three adults and delete the youth and child. Any thoughts before I settle in for an aeroplan phone call?
