My first stay at the GHT was in May 2003, when it had just opened. At the time, it was an excellent hotel, not just a very good one. Over time, as it got its groove and figured out where it could cut corners and maximize its RevPar, it rolled downhill slowly. I was there last November, before the hordes, and it was a very good stay for JPY 32,000. At JPY 80,000+, RevPar is maximized and it just isn't worth it. Maybe on points!
