The DFW immigration works better compared to other US airports I've travelled to/thru. Actually the three times I've arrived on AY flight there I had to wait for bags after immigration. If the AY flight is on time there should be no issues unless something has changed since November - in any case I would try to be one of the first ones out of the plane. And as others commented, there should be assistance with tight connections.
