If all travel is on one ticket, then yes, you can check your baggage all the way through.
However, personally I would ask for my luggage to be short-checked and bring it with me for the night, rather than taking a chance on it going AWOL overnight and not arriving in CUR.
According to the media here in NL, it's not expected that security will be the problem this year, but baggage handling (although it seems KLM are OK on this front; they apparently have managed to lure over a lot of workers from the other baggage handlers by paying more)

The "delays" have never really impacted those travelling in Business Class as you can use the SkyPriority check-in area and the Priority security line.
