No complaints from me. Sure there is Phantom space. Have you read the AA forum lately? Same issues there. I just don't think it is as big a problem as your dramatic response with the included carriers suggests. I am sure AS will get to it eventually after they snap their fingers and 50 new aircraft appear with 100 pilots ready to fly and the upgrade processor is working perfectly.

I just picked an arbitrary date in June, found a mixed LATAM award SEA-LAX-SCL for 45K. The mixed cabin is AS F with LA J. Nice two hour connection in LAX. I wanted to experience what phantom space looks like. It wasn't phantom at all, it ticketed in minutes. So I guess there really is award availability and not all LA is "phantom." There are other avenues to check LA availability but I didn't need that.

Once I cancel this award, I will give FI a shot.
