We were given a set of these robes as a gift. We have enjoyed. They are very absorbent and warm - great for getting in and out of the hot tub in the winter time. My favorite winter/hottub robe is the W waffle robe with the lining (they come with and without the lining). I've had one for years and it has held up great - I have no idea what the fiber content is but I'd bet that it's closer to 100% cotton.

Price is such a relative thing - you and I are definitely at opposite ends of the spectrum on a lot of things, but I'll give you my opinion anyway. For me, $100 for a robe that I like isn't outrageous - although my favorite robe is a summer robe from Ralph Lauren that I paid $20 for at T.J. Maxx.

Also, I seem to remember that you visit some of the Ws or live close to some of the Ws, why not buy it at the hotel and save the shipping? Although, you must consider sales tax as well.
I don't think $115 for a robe is outrageous if I love the robe. But I always wonder if maybe I couldn't buy the same thing somewhere else (under a different label) for less. And I haven't actually seen or worn the robe, so it's hard to know if I would love it.

Which brings me to the other point, why don't I go to a W and look at one and buy it there? Well, not all the W merchandise is sold at all the W hotels; only a selection. The robes I've had at W hotels I've stayed at (in Silicon Valley, in NYC, and in Seattle) have (generally) been the waffle robe with the terry lining (which is a blend of polyester and cotton, BTW ). I like that robe too. I don't know if I would like the "doeskin" one better.

Maybe I'll have to make a "bathrobe run" to one of the Ws that DOES provide the "doeskin" robe, in order to check it out! Does anyone have a list of those hotels?
