Just finished a 1-night stay here recently (using a cat 7 cert.).

reading all previous reviews on this thread made me keep low expectation. i was pleasantly surprised as it was a very enjoyable stay.

arrived at 1.30pm and my villa was ready. All staffs i met are extremely nice and helpful. i was offered 4pm late c/o without asking (actually departed at 2pm).

Resort grounds are indeed very nice though not shining new. View from lobby, sunset cabana, lookout tower and main pool are spectacular. Gym is small but adequate. Villa itself is also nice and spacious. Got a basket of fruit, cheesecake, macaroons, dried banana and 2 small bottles of juice as welcome amenities. TV is quite small and signal is not good for some channels. Some lights are broken but unnoticeable.

Drinks at sunset cabana are pretty good and expensive as expected. Didn’t dine at any of their restaurants except breakfast but did in-villa dining instead. Indonesian food were great, western food not so much.

breakfast is unlimited dishes from a la carte menu but quite a letdown for me. While it has good variety and quality, not much protein or vegetable dishes to choose from. Service is impeccable though.

overall it was one of my great and memorable stay. However i felt it was kind of one-time-experience resort. it was definitely stunning resort the first time you visit, maybe not so much after returning. i do personally want to come back again as it was too short for this visit. I think 3-night stay would be most suitable and sufficiently experience the whole resort.
