Normal airline practise is that if you "no show" any segment the rest on the tickets/flights are auto cancelled.
Airlines often have software the checks for duplicate~impossible reservations. Then cancel 1.
They do not always advise the passenger what they have done.

As OPO & VGO are close I would fly as booked and get ground transport OPO to VGO, if that's where you want to go. Is 68 miles by air, say 100 miles by road.
