The 2.3% admin fee is really a credit card fee. Because customers pay Avis with credit card on a 3rd party charge, so they just want to make sure they are not losing any money. Depending on where you are, supercharging a Tesla could be as much as paying for gas for an ICE car. The peak rate here in SoCal is $0.4x to $0.6x per kwh. Translating to MPG, it would like you are driving a 30MPG car when gas is around $4/gallon. I would expect about $15 for every 100 miles you drive.
