First of all, how do I even look up the Waitlist? From the links on the Manage Trip page, it's not showing anything.
Same for the inventory.
I tried the app, which says this flight isn't upgradeable.
On the web page, it lets me choose MUA, buy-up or PP upgrades and choosing any of these options just says "flight isn't upgradeable" for the TATL segments.
Is the Expert mode only for booking, not for getting more detailed status info. after you've booked?
Only an agent can look up the waitlist this far out and they're not supposed to tell you anything. There is a trick to see the waitlist a week in advance by changing the date on your phone and using the website, but that's it.
Expert Mode will let you see the availability of each fare bucket, and then you can use that to estimate how likely you are to get an upgrade, but it still involves a lot of guessing.
If you already have PPs applied and are on the waitlist you will often get a "flight not upgradeable" message, but that just means that there isn't an upgrade they're willing to sell or give you at that time.
