It seems that AY issued a ticket that violated the MCT at ICN, which in my opinion, makes it invalid. CI probably picked up the error when the ticket moved to airport control, and that’s why they moved you to a later flight.

I reckon that the fault here lies with the ticketing carrier, therefore AY, but I'm sure other users with more knowledge will come along to confirm/infirm my theory.
