This is part of my email to Lufthansa, I still wait for their reply.

"I make reservation and pay for ticket only if specific seats are available. One more time, specific seats.
It means, for example, that if I fly from Europe to USA, I must have a window seat in business class on right side of the plane. But only the good one, as not all window seats are good, depending on the specific aircraft type.

Using the old booking engine, the seat maps for each leg were available by one click on the first page with flights, so it was a matter of seconds to see if my favorite seats were available, hence make a reservation.
Now:
- I have to select flights for the whole trip
- on next page enter all passenger(s) details
- on next page check seat availabily, but by flight sequence. It means, that if the most "problematic" flight is fourth in sequence, I must every time select seats also for previous flights, which is annoying.
- and what if I seethen, that my favourite seats are not avaiable?

There is no way to change only one segment, there is no way to change anytning in iitineerary in this new engine in this moment of booking.

The only option is to click on Lufthansa logo on top left corner... and start all the whole story again. With entering destination, travel dates and travel class etc. Just to change the return flight to the later one, for example!

But it is not only about missing seat maps. The new system is not better in absolutely any way, quite the opposite:
- there are no columns with best price for next months on the start page
- no seat maps for offered flights
- les availability. For example between Berlin and Barcelona is possible to find more than 150 daily connections, but system offers only 13 of them!
- routing in not directly indicated, only number of stops
- no way to change just dates or origin or destination. Only option is to begin whole reservation on empty start page again."
