So I travel with friends and we all received the 2 GUF2 vouchers. We were all unaware they were in error to be honest. Here’s my annoyance. BA are honouring those already booked.
so I only discovered the vouchers were given in error when attempting to book my next trip to America (we travel at least once a month to Florida). The woman denied there ever being two vouchers! She had no trace visible to her, but actually called back within 10 minutes to say that they had revoked it as it was given in error. I explained my travel companion still had their’s against another booking. She said they are honouring those vouchers already booked.

this voucher had been in my account 6 months by this point. The terms and conditions of the voucher states nothing about the right to be removed also. I had made my plans around these vouchers being there, I took a holiday in February with one and intended to use the second on Florida this coming week. I missed being able to use the voucher by about 2 days. Unlike my friends who managed to get their’s booked in time.

even the woman on the phone stated that it was unfair they are honouring some and not others.

But I really did base my plans around there being 2 and now I’m out of pocket because British Airways got it wrong. It really is rude that they tried to remove them and say nothing, this also led to an awkward call with gold line where they quite literally accused me of never having had these vouchers. To the point I asked them to relisten to a call where I discussed them when booking in February.

Why treat your top customers like this? And the generalised email responses I’ve received are so frustrating. I would like them to acknowledge the impact their mistake had at least. It’s so irritating knowing my next flight when I’m down the back and everyone at the front is purely down to bad timing and poor customer communication.
