I made Ambassador for the first time this year and was thinking the Email service was going to be a big help. Boy, was I wrong. Usually they not only DONT help but they make things worse! Recent example:
I booked a stay for a hotel around my birthday. They reached out and said "oh we see you booked this around your birthday would you like us to give the hotel a heads up". I replied that yes that would be nice and, while they were at it, could they find me a nice quiet room with the words "away from elevators, lounge, and connecting room".
They replied the next day with a statement about lounge access and asked which room I wanted to be connected to. I suggested they might have read my request wrong and that I wanted to NOT be in a connecting room. They seemed confused by my response and we went back and forth with not much resolve.
I then reached out to the hotel directly (as I was concerned) and they were like "I see you requested a room near the elevator and connecting. Which room did you want to be connected to". I explained directly to them my ask and they said Ambassador had reached out with, basically, the opposite request.
Perhaps a language issue? Anyways it was a waste of time and now I am not sure what I'm going to get when I check in. Hotel is sold out and I am arriving after midnight.
