I was recently researching flights from YYZ to mainland China for next month's flight, I had a AC worldwide flight pass that includes PVG. 0 availability for the whole year. Cash prices were ridiculous. I decided to book revenue tickets from YYZ to ICN, then rewards tickets to TSN(8k points one-way Y). ICN-TSN leg was on Asiana, the flight got cancelled, I had to call in to have them re-book to Air China flights.
The only international *A route to/from XIY is ICN on Asiana, at present. It doesn't connect with AC flights in either direction, but I suppose the OP should still add it to his/her radar.
I'm guessing ANA will start flying there again from Tokyo at some point this year, probably also morning departure and afternoon return.
Eva from TPE might also resurface.
