I found the Andaz and Churchhill underwhelming and overpriced in compared to other London hotels in the same category.
Great Scotland Yard is at least is very modern and stylish, but the service there is also hit and miss.
Well, glad you’ve corrected me there, it’s a bit of an understatement to say it’s a little more!
However, rates at Andaz sometimes go as low as ~£250 (mostly weekends, with corporate rates much lower than that). I’d choose the Andaz over the “budget” options if it’s only £70-80 more expensive on (not-so-affordable) mattress runs or other budget-constraint circumstances, but it’s definitely overpriced past £350, and imo mot worth the category hike.
Are you staying in the Andaz and Churchill as a non-Globalist (judging by your bio)? The non-suites in these two are painfully tiny and not even worth paying £250 imo. At least the decor and furnishings (especially bathroom) in GSY non-suites are far nicer.
