Not a top-tier luxury property but the Aloft in the Menteng neighborhood is excellent. Just steps from the major street food area of Jakarta (goat fried rice is amazing!), Monas is about a 15 minute walk away and there are several large shopping malls within striking distance. I'm just a Gold but received a lovely handwritten note and a plate of chocolates from them. I'll be staying at the RC Pacific Place next week and will report on that one then.
That Aloft location is incomparable for walking around and seeing the sights. They're very generous with sweets, tea/coffee as well as early check-ins, but never upgrade elites - Gold & Plat are all one happy family here. On the luxury end, some would say RC PacPlace -- if one can find the secret entrance next to the
Lamborghini showroom 
-- has the best location.But really, besides shopping, most attractions in Pacific Place Mall and SCBD are restaurants and bars. Which kinda clashes with the hotel's Club Lounge access-for-all perk.
