I would say better book one room under each account.
Normally hotel only upgrade 1 room.
After all Gold does entitled to complimentary upgrade too.

As an Ambassador in Asia where hotels usually way more generous, it was very rare in Bonvoy branded hotel to have both rooms upgraded.
