In 2023 I stopped paying for ay tickets, I am 100% redeeming points on AY, only cash tickets I have bought are on AF, who btw still serves Champagne 😉

For me champagne itself is not a deal breaker, but in a totality of these changes are a deal breaker, Finnair has made zero positive moves for ME and my situation lately and this made me make my choices. Granted I still fly on AY just in PE or J and on points till my points run out.

Alot of people I know still collect ay points even if they dont buy tickets from AY after all not alot of choices for CC points here...

Just caught my eye lately in a few posts or more...

I am a flyer who allways counts the amount of points per € I get for my money and what those points get me and choose my airline based on that. If AF had more flights out of HEL and pricing was nlt insane there too I would gladly move there full time, they certainly offer a more solid product for my taste and their elite treatment is MUCH more attentive at the top then ay ever has been, though I have enjoyed some special attention as LUMO from ay so not all bad
