Flying this coming weekend on a BA 787-9 with my wife. Two days ago I looked and saw only one pair left for a couple 13J/13K and I much prefer sitting in the two seats with my wife rather than in the middle. I sucked it up and paid $99 each to ensure we get a pair on the window. Today I see 9A/9B, 9J/9K and 13A/13B available for purchase. So I would have been fine waiting till 24 hours and would have waited. This seems really unfair to me to suggest availability of just one option. I suppose there could have been a bunch of cancellations but that seems unlikely.

Do I have any recourse or did I really pay $198 for what I would have been able to wait a few days on if BA was more transparent on what was really available? Arghh!!!

As a Delta Plat I am not used to paying extra for J seats when I already purchased J. Really rubs me the wrong way about BA.
