I think I was a year ahead of you on getting the first smartphone. In a contradictory comment, I will opine that while I find it indispensable, if it went away, I would quickly learn to live without it (again). But maybe that's because I have so few apps, and therefore would be giving up less than many other people.

Thanks for the comments. I expect I'll download the Chase app and see if it becomes indispensable.
