While this thread is old, I'll make the point out for any other readers, the wide body fleet often has a row or two of two-sies near the back. These are great for couples who don't want anyone else sitting next to them. There is also the chance for a slight bit of extra storage as a the curvature of the rear of the plane gradually comes in.
The downside to these seats is being close to the law and the traffic it brings, but on an overnight flight this isn't always that bad.
The problem is that it will take you forever to deplane, last time on a 777 it took us more than 1h before we were actually off the plane, even though we were telling everyone we had a tight connection. We were placed in row 50. 9 rows means 40 people will need to deplane before you, most of them don't even move until they see movements ahead.
