Being based at MSP, were you ever on any of NW DC-9s? I lived there 1999-2006 and I swear some of those old beaters were the same Hughes Airwest planes (via the Republic merger) I flew on when I was a kid.
I am also MSP based and flew both NW and US DC-9-30’s, and after the NW refurbishment, they were like new. The US D9S were falling apart inside, the bins and upholstery were so beyond their useful life. I took many flights from MSP-PIT/CLT with them. TWA even had better D9S interiors.
