How many days do I need to wait to request Credit for a Completed Stay?

If it has been more than 10 business days following a Completed Stay and Marriott Bonvoy® Points are missing from your Account, please submit a Missing Stay Request.

Also, when you fill up the Missing Stay Request online, on Step 2, under the check-in date, there is a note saying "It may take up to 10 business days for points to post to your account after you have completed your stay."

We will have to follow this rule when we are handling missing stay claims.

As an Ambassador and Lifetime Titanium member I will tell you that this 10 day policy is ridiculously TERRIBLE!!! Why should people who spend at times thousands of dollars and more on a stay have to wait 10 days before your company will manually post the points earned for the stay? This has been a huge pet peeve of mine for years, back when I was a Platinum Premier. There have been times that I have spent $5000 on a long stay and wanted to use points for a stay right after. And there were times I didn't have enough points to do that without the $5000 stay posting. According to your AWFUL policy I "technically" couldn't call anyone from Marriott even an Ambassador and ask them to post it sooner. Most would act like robots and quote the policy over and over and do nothing to help. Luckily however there have been a few AWESOME Marriott Ambassadors who felt bad and realized I am an Elite customer who spends a lot of money with Marriott and would make an exception and post my points sooner. But those people were few and far between.

So maybe you could pass this message back to the CEO who said he wants to look out for the owners more than the customers. Please Lurker tell Mr. Capuano that someone(ME) who spends $50,000 a year with the hotel chain, is a Lifetime Titanium and Ambassador member shouldn't have to wait up to 10 freaking days to get points rightfully earned posted to my account!!!

If I spend $3500 on my stay and I want to save a damn dollar on my next stay right after, I should be able to call the darn Ambassador line, tell the Ambassador I need my points posted immediately because I want to use them for a couple of free nights at my next hotel!!! This policy is a joke and needs to be changed.
