Unique Property Amenity: USD 100 spa credit, which converted to 420 MYR. Had inquired ahead of time about converting the spa credit to F&B, but was declined. Was worried about not being able to schedule a treatment during my time there, but was able to get a 60 min massage in.
Comments: A few weeks before my stay, I noticed the hotel had no availability for the nights I was staying. I thought (based on past experience) maybe they were hosting a big conference or VIP guest, and considered switching hotels due to potential crowds. Turns out, there were mandatory electrical inspections by local authorities for a 1-2 hours during the days I was staying. It ended up only affecting us at check-in because we arrived towards the end of the 1st day of inspection time (1-3 pm), and they shut down all the guest elevators. It was a bit of a wait to use the freight elevator to get up to the lobby, but they started running right after 3 pm after we were ready to head up to the room. We were not affected at all on the second day of electrical inspection. I suspect they stopped taking reservations for my dates once they knew about the inspections, and made the hotel less crowded. Overall, the service was great and responsive, with lots of messages acknowledging our arrival/departure, the electrical inspections, a issue with a buzzing noise in the room, and issues with the room next during being extremely loud (it was a connecting room) after midnight.
