12k/night stay as globalist
tldr: Great Hyatt property and what you’d expect of Grand Hyatt brand: clean, functional, organized, friendly staff, good amenities, nice lounge. 9/10 overall, would def stay again if I was in SP.
I didn’t get an upgrade, but they did acknowledge at check in that they tried for a suite, and put me on a higher floor. They said king bed but I’m pretty sure it was a queen.
Quibbles:
- elevator does not make a sound or light when it arrives, so I missed the elevator serval times
- My room door didn’t swing shut behind me, which is not something I’ve ever thought about. But a couple times I was in my room and realized the door was open for an hour or so (there was a hallway so can’t see the door from room)
- Outlets seem to be lacking for a modern hotel (none by bed)
- The lounge was super nice, albeit small. Also breakfast seemed pretty light at the lounge. Everyone was very friendly.
Overall, one of the better Grand Hyatts and really not much to complain about, especially at 12k points.pp
