Believe it or not, even-though there is no direct flights between AHB-DOH, when i search in QA website, they offer a flight from AHB-RUH through saudia, and from RUH-YUL through QA, and the total price is way cheaper then if fly from JED or RUH, or even DOH to YUL, but they dont offer stop over with all of these options, and i am still stuck with the fare jump if i purchase separate tickets for my route.
You could try the call centre to see if they are able to help, but maybe its a revenue protection issue - stopovers inhibited on routes involving regional flights to prevent folk doing what you want to do on (relatively) cheap fares. QR enjoys milking its regional routes. JED DOH return in J is around SAR10K.
