Keep in mind if you planning to go to nearby hotel overnight at JFK and utilizing the hotel shuttle to pick you up, you have to take the Air Train to Federal Circle station.
KL lands at terminal 1 and depends on if Air Train work is going on, you might have to take the bus from Terminal 1 to Terminal 8 and then use the Air Train to Federal Circle station and use the Hotel shuttles.
