Short checking and refusal to do that is only really an issue when you are trying to drop the last leg, for example if you were doing LAX-LHR-DUB but wanted to short check to LHR.
But even that's ok if there's an overnight before the last sector though, right? Or is that agent dependent? Never had an issue with it myself.
