My grammar knowledge (for this matter at least) doesn't really extend beyond "that doesn't sound right" but should it be:

"Your attention is essential as this may differ from any aircraft you've travelled on before."

Or

"Your attention is essential as these may differ from any aircraft you've travelled on before."

They've always said the latter so the former doesn't sound right.
