K gate and M gate arrivals have to reclear to get to F/G, but half of the L gates (the ones on the western side of L) have steps to a corridor that feeds post-security to connection immigration, 2F, and the bus to 2G. 20 minutes from the plane to the 2F lounge, without using eGates for immigration. Also depends on the CDG staff recognizing the clean arrival and opening the proper doors.

If this indeed is now the norm. I flew through last month and most definitely wasn't allowed to skip security. (I don't remember the gate)
As it is, I've always found CDG a bit weird for Schengen flights. No need to reclear security nor immigration. However, you're still directed to a lower level and not out through the gate into main concourse level. You then take elevator back up. I'm guessing at one time the terminal was designed to funnel everyone to passport/security checks. (Would be pointless to have designed it this way otherwise) Just don't get why still direct everyone down a level, to go right back up.
