Odd Seat Map for my DUB-MCO and MCO-DUB Flights
Four months after booking summer seats to Europe from Orlando on EI, I strangely received another Confirmation email this morning. It doesn't provide any explicit update or anything, but it looks like they changed my coach seats on DUB-MCO. I decided to do a dummy booking to see what other seats are available before I call to try to change my new seats to something more preferrable, and the aircraft seat map does not match up with any of the seat maps on SeatGuru. For example, on both flights, business class is 5 rows of 6 across seats, which doesn't match up at all with any widebody seat layouts.
Is Aer Lingus using a wet lease for these flights, or are the SeatGuru set maps completely off? More important to my cause, my family of 3 had chosen one of the back middle rows of coach, where there are only 3 seats in the middle row. I know there are a lot of negatives to sitting in the back of coach, but we wanted the whole row to ourselves thing. I assume there's no way to get one of these rows, as now none of the 3 rows of 3 (used to be 5 rows of 3 on the A330-300) are available, so is there any way to successfully argue for exit row seats or anything like that? If not, anyone have a preferred row in coach they can recommend, where I assume we'd sit in a seat ACD or GHK setup?
Thanks for any feedback.
