I’m not sure whether this question belongs here or in the website complaints thread; mods please move if necessary.
I’m trying to book a simple one-day YUL-YTO return trip for 4 pax later this summer. Both flights I want have availability at 5.7K points per person. Once I select the flights, I’m asked to provide the passenger names, and once that’s done, I’m taken to a seat selection page. The AC spinny-thing does its spinning and then I get the following message “An error occurred and we were not able to complete the process. Please try again.(Error code: [34651])”
I when I click “resume last search” to start the process over, I can select the same outbound flight at 5.7K points but the return has increased to 7.6K. Obviously we’re not talking a huge amount of points here, but I’d of course prefer to pay the fewest points possible.
I suspect there actually isn’t availability for 4 passengers at the 5.7K points level and that’s why it’s failing. Is there a way to test that theory? Should I call in and ask what the agent sees in terms of availability?
