frankly, AF is not the best company to support passengers when it comes to solving problems. You file a claim, then you wait with no information.
Well, i've been waiting for more than 3 weeks and checking the status on a regular basis. I have just noticed today that an amount has shown up in the claim, inferior to the value of the lost belongings. No explanation given. Once confirmed by email by AF, is there any way to recover the difference in value between the compensation received and the value declared ? (all the receipts and invoices have been provided to justify the value)
should i refer to the travel mediator listed on AF website ?
