While the Long Wharf isn’t exactly killing it, nor is it anywhere near the Hynes, you can get a room with an interesting view. It’s in an old warehouse, so it’s a bit quirky. Last time I stayed there, the breakfast was decent. Depending on whether the lounge is open, breakfast will be either there or in the restaurant with certificate. I don’t claim this is anything close to the quality of the RC, which I’ve stayed at, or the Liberty, which I haven’t stayed at, but it is satisfactory enough to be worth consideration.
I didn't realize the Long Wharf was providing breakfast when the lounge was closed due to its status on the breakfast exempt list. Interesting - the hard product is good.
