Therefore I changed my flight to tomorrow AM, in the first available J flight. 12 hours in the last row of economy when a J ticket has been paid just didnt hit the spot… (trying not to sound precious here!) and was under time pressure on the phone to make my LIS-LHR flight.
The really annoying thing is I paid 1300 euros last week to change the flight from Sunday to Monday.I’m now overnight in London so will need a hotel, in addition I’ve missed my LA hotel tonight.
My question is what compensation am I entitled to ask for?
For context on this - I’m a BA Gold (OWE) but no direct status on AA
thank you for the help!!
If AA offered to rebook him in economy for the same day of travel and the OP on his own, switch to traveling the next day so that he could travel in J ( I would rather travel in J too!), are we truly giving him correct advice that he is entitled to UK261 compensation?
I am a little confuse, in that I thought if a person refused the possibility of traveling and booked travel that caused the delay on your own, solely to remain the cabin of choice that UK/EU261 didn't apply?
Please help this neophyte to understand.
Thanks
