Upon landing in Jeddah, what recourse would I have? A few scenarios I pieced together:
- Saudia agrees to reaccomodate me on an Oman Air flight (there are 3 later that day) to Muscat. Could I get to the new gate without clearing Saudi immigration, as I wouldn't have a visa to enter the country of course. (Also the scenario if they refuse and I buy the ticket myself b/c I wanna leave LOL)
- Would Saudia agree to fly me onwards to like, DXB/AUH/DOH where I can more easily get an onward flight to Muscat?
Assuming this is all booked as one itinerary on Saudia, I would assume that they would try to accommodate you on the next Oman Air flight should you miss your connection in Jeddah. There is no need to clear Saudi immigration as both Saudia and Oman Air leave from the same terminal, which has, of course an international transit area. Should you have to spend the night and have no way to obtain a visa on the spot, there is a decent transit hotel inside the terminal area. But I'm fairly sure that Saudia would assist you with accommodation and food vouchers in case of a misconnect.
