Hotels seem to be a mixed bag here.
In the US, can't say I've noticed that much difference. Either "not a chance I'm paying that" down to "not going to get much better than that".

Got an overnight stay at LHR coming up, and my usual stopover at the HI Bath Road is £106 on a Sunday night.
The T5 Premier Inn 10mins walk down the road next to McDonalds is £46.

No idea how they can justify a £60 price difference, although as with airfares, there seems to be no shortage of people happy to pay double or treble the price for various flights (compared to other airlines or a year ago).

I picked up a nice cheap PDX-LAX-JFK basic economy fare for £88 the other day, so there are still decent fares out there (got about 3hrs at LAX, so will drink more than that £88!). Some business fares on the transcon route are hitting over £8k with F being £2k or less. Since there's supposed to be less business travel, either there's a lot of TP runners flying, or people happy to pay £2k between the west and east coasts rather than £150 back in Y for 5hrs.

Looked at a one way LHR-MAN fare. £41 if I wanted to fly at 6:35am, <£100 after 9pm, with £300-£500 most other times. Ridiculous prices in my opinion, but I'm sure someone is paying them for a 35 min flight (ignoring connections).
(Did manage to pick up a RFS for one flight going for only £120).
