I hate not having my passport in my possession, which is why I now always travel in cargo pants so that passport and BP are safely tucked into a leg pocket. Annoyingly, I now find that Security arch operators demand that I empty my pockets of scanning, placing those critical items in a separate small tray ... which led on one occasion to me forgetting to collect it from the belt! I now have a Plan B, with passport in a small pocket in my carry-on.
