All the Club rooms and Club Duplex suites and some of the specialty suites like Uluwatu and Bukit (not all) are in the Club Wong starting with 6xxx numbering. Duplex suites are always on the top floor as the "mezzanine" with bedroom and bathroom is under the roof structure.
The Singaraja Duplex suites (mostly 4xxx I think, maybe some in 5xxx as well) are pretty much same than Club Duplex layout wise though furnished a bit differently.
As far as room renovations go, I was under the impression that all the heavy works were done. Some suites like the one Bukit one (6325 IIRC) were supposed to get updated again and turned into a 2 bedroom suite by combining it with the Club room next to it, but not sure that ever happened.
As to kids, no one can be certain. In general there may be less kids in the Club Wing area as there are less Club rooms versus Singaraja and Jimbaran Deluxe ones, but there isn't a kids free zone or such and even at Club pool you can have more or less well behaved little rugrats around plenty of times. Luck of the draw depending on what you are looking for. YMMV.
