By "iconic," I mean a comfortable staple in the local destination. I like hotels that feel like hotels and am thus looking for the best option in these two cities that maximizes the delivery on comfort, cleanliness, breakfast, and service attitudes.

I use the word "iconic" a lot - perhaps it's my generational tendencies - but please don't read into it too much as I'm just asking which hotel FTers would prefer.
