As I posted in a couple posts further above, I THINK there is a lot of narrative on these pages that are mostly for applications and not necessarily RENEWAL applications. What many of us have seen when RENEWING is that as it’s working its way through that process, ones CARD and account remains valid and active - thus usable for travel back into the US. Now, that MAY have changed I guess, maybe someone recent could respond if they are still waiting for FINAL approval, did they get the notice upon submitting the renewal request that said that their status would remain active through the renewal process even though it would have extended PAST the original expiry date?
