Flying into Boston in early August for a conference at the Hynes Conference Center.
Looking to stay at one of the following hotels: - Courtyard Boston Copley Square
- W Boston
- Moxy Boston Downtown
- Courtyard Boston Downtown
(The reason I've omitted both the Westin Copley and the Boston Marriott Copley Place is that I want to burn a 40k FNA. I can top that FNA off and stay one of my nights at any of the four hotels above, but the Westin and Marriott are out of reach. I do have another 85k FNA but I don't want to burn that, it's a long story.)
Very likely, I would be using a combination of points and FNA for my stay, regardless of which of those four I choose.
I'm Titanium, so I'm hoping for a good free breakfast (preferably buffet), and a clean room with a comfortable bed. Preferably not too dated. I went through tripadvisor reviews for the Courtyard Copley, and there's no indication that they offer free breakfast for Titanium. I'm willing to walk from the other three hotels to the Hynes Center, for my conference. I don't mind street noise at night, and I don't need any recreational facilities. A semi-quiet historical/trendy place to grab a late night beer nearby would be nice.
Any advice? :-) It seems like a lot of online reviews out there aren't helping me much, or are very dated.
Courtyards and Moxys don’t offer free breakfast to higher elite members, and you won’t find US hotels offering anything outside of the terms and conditions of the programme. The W is fairly rubbish tbh; breakfast was a La carte when I stayed and the elite breakfast credit was very poor (luckily my Luminous credit was far more substantial). Don’t think Boston is a stand out city for Marriott, although I thought the Liberty was fairly decent for a single night stay (appreciate this is probably outside of your FNC). Are cash rates high at other hotels during this trip?
