Follow-up post. So I switched browser from Safari to Chrome, and when the page loaded I briefly saw that my Aeroplan number showed as "AC" under the FFP field before it briefly disappeared and defaulting back to KrisFlyer (and with no option on the dropdown menu to change to any other FFP). So I tried force typing AC into that field, inputted the rest of my pax details and was able to save.
I just tried that. Even though it lets you save the rest of your details, it won't update the FFP field in the booking once you leave the page. I have talked to SQ contact centre and they have confirmed the only place where you can add your FFP number is at the check in counter. It seems that SQ is strangely not willing to update your FFP number when you redeem miles for your flight from any program.
